On March 8, 2024, as approved by Council, the dome of Port Moody’s City Hall building was meant to be lit up in purple in recognition of International Women’s Day.
At a Special Council Meeting on March 5, 2024, Port Moody City Council approved one million dollars in budget reductions which will result in a tax rate increase for the average household of 6.6 per cent, down from 8.37 per cent as proposed in January 2024.
Port Moody Council will present Robert Simons with the prestigious Freedom of the City award at a Special Council Meeting starting at 6pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
