The City reminds residents and commuters that St. Johns Street, between Douglas and Moody streets, will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 6am to 10pm on Sunday, August 18, 2019 for Car-Free Day.
We're replacing the wooden staircase at the west end of the Moody Centre Station that connects to Moody St. with a new multi-use path and staircase that will greatly improve accessibility.
Night paving is scheduled for St. Johns Street, between Moray Street to Ioco Road from Aug 13-25.
On July 31, 2019, the City of Port Moody issued heritage alteration and demolition permits to the owners of 2407 Clarke Street (the Roe and Abernethy Grocery Store) and 2411 Clarke Street. The buildings on these sites were damaged in a fire that started on July 28, 2019.
