The City of Port Moody invites residents and visitors to mark their calendars for Car-Free Day on Sunday, August 17, 2025. This community celebration, filled with live music, delicious food, and activities for all ages, will take place on St. Johns Street, between Queens and Moody streets, from 12 noon to 5pm.
Eighteen community groups and individuals will share more than $44,000 in funds in 2025 through the City of Port Moody’s Community Grants Program, which has three different streams: general community grants; artist grants; and arts, culture, and heritage grants.
In our latest edition of Port Moody’s community newsletter, the Focus, you can read all about what’s new or coming soon in various Port Moody parks.
Before proceeding with the establishment of an arts and business council, the City of Port Moody will test this new governance model over a 12- to 18-month period via a pilot, or proof of concept, phase conducted by an arts and business specialist.
