Over five days during Public Works Week, which runs from May 17 to 23, 2020, we’ll use our social media channels to recognize a team of City employees who are everyday superheroes. From providing clean water and disposing of solid waste, to maintaining our roads and taking care of our parks, our public works professionals contribute to the excellent quality of life we enjoy in Port Moody.
Starting May 20, 2020, the Rocky Point Boat Launch will be open to all boaters, regardless of residency, by reservation only. Restrictions and physical distancing measures remain in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
On May 6, 2020, the provincial government announced a plan to lift COVID-19 restrictions in phases, starting in mid-May, to gradually allow for more social and economic activity, while closely monitoring health information to minimize the risk to the public. .
Limited use of sports fields is now permitted in Port Moody to give residents additional options for exercising outdoors. This restricted use applies to all sports fields owned by the City or jointly with School District 43, except for the grass baseball field at North Shore Community Park (1300 David Avenue) which is currently closed for turf maintenance.
