Saturday, October 15, 2022 is General Voting Day for the 2022 Port Moody General Local Election. .
With great sadness, Port Moody Mayor and Council announce the death of Nellie Sholund, who was a recipient of Port Moody’s highest honour, the Freedom of the City award, in 1998. Nellie passed away on September 22, 2022 in Nanaimo, B. C.
Choose the way to have your say in the 2022 Port Moody General Local Election: vote by mail, at advance polls (Wednesday, October 5 and Saturday, October 8, 2022), or on General Voting Day (October 15, 2022). The City of Port Moody is holding a general election to elect one mayor, six councillors, and two school trustees for a four-year term.
Port Moody’s mayor-elect and councillors-elect will be sworn in at an official ceremony during the Inaugural Council Meeting at Inlet Theatre (100 Newport Drive) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. The meeting will start at 7pm with a reception to follow.
