Dog walkers in Bert Flinn Park may now have their dogs off-leash between 6am and 10am daily in a new area – the Morning Off-Leash Mini Loop, a nature trail that branches westward off the park’s existing wide gravel off-leash trail.
On September 13, 2025, Port Moody City Council, the Government of Canada, and the Government of B.C. celebrated the completion of the Shoreline Trail Boardwalk Replacement Project with an official opening ceremony and ribbon cutting. The full length of the new boardwalk is now open from Murray Street to Noons Creek.
Ann Hulbert, a former City of Port Moody councillor and Freedom of the City Award recipient, has passed away at the age of 84. On behalf of Council, City staff, and residents, I offer deepest condolences to Ms. Hulbert’s family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched during her many years of service to the community.
