On May 7, 2019, Council adopted the 2019-2022 City of Port Moody Council Strategic Plan. The plan provides a framework for the decisions Council will make, and guides the City’s approach for delivering services to the community.
The City of Port Moody and the Golden Spike Days Society are pleased to announce Canadian roots rock reggae band Big Sugar will be the headline performer for Canada Day celebrations at the Golden Spike Days Festival in Rocky Point Park. The show will take place on Sunday, June 30, 2019, as Canada Day (July 1) falls on a Monday this year.
Port Moody’s Mayor and Council unveiled the City’s new rainbow crosswalk, located in the 200-block of Newport Drive, during a special celebration on April 30, 2019. “The rainbow crosswalk is a symbol of pride and acceptance for the LGBTQ2+ community,” said Acting Mayor Meghan Lahti.
