The candidate nomination period for the 2018 Port Moody General Local and School Board Election is now open. The Chief Election Officer will receive nominations for the offices of mayor, councillor, and school trustee until 4pm on Friday, September 14, 2018.
Port Moody Fire-Rescue has lifted a temporary ban on the use of outdoor cooking appliances of any kind in City Parks, forested lands, and public green spaces. The ban was announced on August 7, 2018, in response to the elevation of the fire hazard rating from high to extreme during a period of dry and warm weather.
