The candidate nomination period is now open for the 2026 Port Moody General Local and School Board Election, happening on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Due to Port Moody’s Car-Free Day celebration, St. Johns Street between Douglas and Moody streets will be closed to all vehicle traffic on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 6am to 10pm.
The City of Port Moody is notifying electors that nominations for the offices of Mayor (1), Councillor (6), and School Trustee (2) will be received by the Chief Election Officer or designated person starting at 9:00am on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 until 4:00pm on Friday, September 11, 2026.
