On March 24, 2026, Port Moody City Council, the Government of B.C., and the Rotary Club of Port Moody celebrated the start of construction for the Inlet Park Community Fieldhouse with an official groundbreaking ceremony.
Port Moody has recently been named a 2025 Tree City of the World by the Arbor Day Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in honour of the City’s commitment to plant, grow, and maintain trees to benefit the community.
After an extensive bylaw review process that included three phases of public engagement, Port Moody City Council has adopted City of Port Moody Tree Protection Bylaw, 2026, Number 3531.
