In 2022, the City of Port Moody received funding from the Ministry of Children and Family Development to create a childcare facility at the Westhill Community Centre and to partner with a non-profit childcare organization to operate the facility.
Hours for City facilities and services vary throughout the holidays, except for essential services.
The City of Port Moody is accepting applications for the 2025 intake of the Community Grants Program, which includes three different streams: general community grants; artist grants; and arts, culture, and heritage grants.
At a Finance Committee Meeting on December 17, 2024, Port Moody City Council approved $2,676,100 in budget reductions which will result in a property tax rate increase for the average household of 5.71 per cent, down from 8.52 per cent previously prepared for public consultation in October 2024.

Inlet Field, located at Inlet Park (3024 Murray Street), is now called Bob Favelle Field in honour of Mr. Favelle’s lifelong contributions to soccer in Port Moody and beyond.
