Highlights
- Art at Council – Jacqueline Butler, a member of the Tri-Cities Pride Youth Committee presented Nourish to Flourish, a co-created multimedia tree on canvas. Attendees of Port Moody Youth Pride were invited to paint a leaf for the tree and/or write a message on a ribbon attached to the roots, expressing through art their experiences of identity, community, and support.

- Presentation – 2026 Port Moody Youth Scholarship - Council and Youth Focus Committee Chair Veer Dhillon presented Coquitlam resident William Wang, who graduated from Port Moody Secondary School (PMSS) in June, with the 2026 Youth Scholarship Award. - Presentation – Port Moody Royal Canadian Legion 100th Anniversary - Council presented the Port Moody Legion (Branch 119) with a commemorative plaque in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion. - Adoption of Bylaw No. 3544 – Rezoning Text Amendment – 3055 Murray Street (Mosaic Moody Yards) – Council adopted a Zoning Amendment Bylaw to expand the permitted principal uses for Building 3 to permit general commercial on the ground floor.
- Bylaw Adoption and DP Issuance – 2914 St. Johns Street Anthem Moody Centre TOD (Anthem Properties) – Council adopted a rezoning bylaw to facilitate the development of a high-density mixed-use development in the Moody Centre TOD area. Council also adopted the related Housing Agreement Bylaw, and authorized next steps to issue the Development Permit and Development Agreement
- People, Dogs, and Public Spaces Strategy Phase One Engagement Summary – Council received a summary of feedback received during the first phase of engagement for the People, Dogs, and Public Spaces Strategy. This new strategy will guide decision-making related to parks and trails, off-leash areas, dog-friendly amenities, bylaw enforcement, and community education. Watch for Phase 2 public engagement in early 2027.
- Invasive Species Management Strategy (ISMS) - Council adopted the new ISMS strategy to build on the City’s existing invasive species management program, identify gaps, and establish a comprehensive framework to guide ecological restoration initiatives across City departments.
- New Amenity Cost Charges (ACC) Bylaw and Update to Amenity and Development Cost Charges (DCC) Reduction Bylaw – ACCs are a provincially regulated development financing tool that’s used to help fund amenities in growing areas. Council received a summary of public and targeted interest holder feedback received on the new Amenity Cost Charges (ACC) program and gave three readings to the new ACC Bylaw. Council also gave three readings to an updated DCC Reduction Bylaw, to allow for reductions in ACCs for eligible developments.
