Roadwork and Construction

When: Now until August 7, 2026
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
Location: Bedard Cres.
Impact to you: Single lane alternating traffic around the work areas. Driveways and bike lanes access will be maintained. Traffic control persons will be on site to assist motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians as required.

When: July 23 to September 30, 2026
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
Where: City-Wide (Moody Centre)
Impact to you: Intermittent lane and parking lane closures for short-term work at utility manholes. Detailed Traffic Management Plans will be provided for work affecting major roadways. Traffic control persons will be on site to assist motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

When: August 6 to 7, 2026
Location: Clarke Street, west of Douglas Street, Douglas Street at Vintner Street
Impact to you: Partial closure of westbound curb lane on Clarke Street. The north sidewalk on Clarke Street between Douglas Street and Barnet Highway will be closed, with pedestrians directed to cross to the south side. Parking lane closure on Douglas Street, south of Vintner Street. Traffic control persons will be on site to assist motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

When: July 28 to 31, 2026
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
Location: Glenayre Drive at Angela Drive; Angela Drive between Tuxedo Drive and Glenayre Drive
Impact to you: Parking on the north side of Angela Drive will be restricted as the work area progresses west towards Glenayre Drive. The southbound lane on Glenayre Drive across from Angela Drive will be closed, with single lane alternating traffic occurring in the northbound lane. Parking will be restricted throughout the work area on Glenayre Drive. Driveway access will be maintained. Traffic control personnel will be on site to assist motorists.

When: August 3 to September 25, 2026
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
Location: Glenayre local roads; Glencoe Drive, Ailsa Avenue, Dundonald Drive
Impact to you: Single lane alternating traffic and parking lane closures will be in effect around the work areas, and sidewalk and pathway closures may be in effect. Street parking restrictions will be in effect to accommodate the work areas. Expect traffic delays on main roads. Traffic control personnel will be on site to assist motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

When: August 10, 2026
Work hours: 9am to 3pm
Location: Guildford Way between Balmoral Drive and Carlsen Place
Impact to you: Eastbound traffic will be reduced to single lane using the left lane through the construction area. Bike lane and sidewalk to remain open at all times. Traffic delays are expected. Traffic control persons will be on site to assist pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists during construction.  

When: Now through August 31, 2026
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
Location: 2330 Henry Street (Henry Street and Hope Street)
Impact to you: Single lane alternating traffic and parking restrictions on Henry Street and Hope Street (one street at a time) during the work. Access to driveways will be maintained. Traffic control personnel will be on site to support motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.

When: June 1 to mid-August, 2026
Location: Between St. Johns Street and Brookmount Drive
Work hours: 7am to 3pm
Impact to you: Lane closures will occur one block at a time, with single-lane alternating traffic around work areas. There will also be partial closures of the west sidewalk, and pedestrians will be directed to use marked crossings. Parking will be restricted in active work zones, and access to side streets will be limited to local traffic only. Driveway access will be maintained throughout construction, and traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. Expect delays and plan alternate routes. Impact to you: Single lane alternating traffic around the work areas. Driveways and bike lanes access will be maintained. Traffic control persons will be on site to assist motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians as required.

When: August 12 to 14, 2026
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
Location: St. George Street at Hugh Street and Williams Street
Impact to you: Street parking will be restricted and vehicles and bikes will be reduced to single lane alternating. Pedestrian movement will be prioritized. Traffic delays are expected. Traffic control persons will be on site to assist pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists during construction.  

When: August 7-14, 2026
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
