Candidate Profile: Callan Morrison

Running for: Councillor

Port Moody has been home for 27 years. I went to school here, met my wife Jessica at Golden Spike Days, bought our first home in Newport Village, and today we’re raising our two beautiful daughters here. This community means so much to my family, and it’s why I’ve worked hard to be one of your most visible and accessible councillors.
For four years I’ve served on Council, focusing on practical solutions, and bringing teamwork, collaboration and kindness to City Hall.
I'm was proud to introduce a residents first priority registration for recreation programs, championed family-friendly housing and minimum unit sizes, and brought forward the IOCO/CPKC overpass widening project which is expected to reduce travel times between Moray Street and Suter Brook by up to 40% when completed in 2027. I’ve also focused on fiscal restraint and responsible spending.
In the community I’ve coached lacrosse for 17 years and supported local small businesses. Jessica and I also received the 2022 Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award.

I love this city and I believe I can continue to make a positive impact. Our residents should have a say in our future, a strong advocate at the council table, and a collaborator who can work with elected officials across the region to solve problems.

I am proud to be that councillor.

I’m asking for your support, and your vote for a second term. Let’s keep moving our community forward and keep putting Port Moody residents first, always.
