About the awards

The Spike Business Awards are given out by the City of Port Moody’s Economic Development and Tourism Committee in advance of B.C. Buy Local Week. The awards celebrate and recognize the significant contributions of Port Moody’s business community.

Nominations for the 2025 Spike Business Awards closed on October 10, 2025. Nominations were accepted from the public for awards in five categories, and from businesses (self-nomination) for awards in two categories. To be eligible, nominees must hold a valid business licence for the year of the award.

Nominations from the public are accepted in each of the following five categories: Business Impact, Puts Port Moody on the Map, City of the Arts Business, New Business, and Community Builder.
Nominations from businesses (self-nomination) are accepted directly from our local business community. One award winner is selected in each of the following two categories: Business of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

Winners were recognized at a gala evening held at City Hall on November 27.
