There are a variety of volunteer opportunities in the City. Becoming a volunteer is an excellent way to gain experience working with the public, it can teach you new skills, and you will make a difference in your community.

Get involved in the Citizen Advisory Group

Interested in providing input on City issues? Then the Port Moody Citizen Advisory Group is for you. Council seeks feedback from the advisory group on a variety of topics, from budgets and master plans to new projects and community development.

Members of the advisory group are required to attend a minimum of two meetings each year. City staff will present information and you will provide feedback using your phone or tablet. Council will use this feedback to help make decisions.

To volunteer in recreation, you will need to:

You can choose to volunteer in one of the following areas in recreation:

  • programs for preschool, children, or youth
  • programs for adults and seniors
  • aquatics
  • ice sports and ice skating programs
  • city wide special events
  • recreation ambassador (offer general assistance at the Recreation Complex)
