Event Details for Participating Vendors
Vendor applications for 2026 Car-Free Day have now closed – the application deadline was Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
We are excited to help you showcase your business to thousands of Car-Free Day attendees. This year’s event will take place on August 16, 2026, from 12 noon to 5pm.
Event timing
- Set-up time: 9am-11:30am on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Please note that no vehicle access will be allowed after 10:30am.
- Booth hours: 12pm-5pm on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Vendor booths must remain open for the entire duration of the event (12pm-5pm).
- Clean-up time: Sunday August 16, 2026 from 5pm. Please note that vehicle access will only be allowed beginning at 6pm, or once it has been declared safe by Port Moody Police. It is recommended that you have extra staff and a dolly on hand for move out.
Costs
- A 10'x10' vendor space is $55.00 + tax. Each vendor space comes supplied with one 8ft table and two chairs. Tablecloths are not provided.
- Standard electrical power is $100.00 + tax; higher electrical power is $210.00 + tax.
- A 10'x10' tent rental is $110.00 + tax.
- An additional 8' table is $12.00 + tax
Additional information
To participate on August 16, businesses must have completed the City of Port Moody’s vendor application process and paid applicable vendor fees. Vendors who do not meet these qualifications will be asked to leave the event area.
To comply with provincial legislation around election advertising for the 2026 General Local Election, the following activities will not be permitted at 2026 Car-Free Day:
- directly or indirectly promote or oppose an election candidate or elector organization, including distributing or making available campaign materials on behalf of a candidate;
- directly or indirectly promote or oppose an issue with which a candidate or elector organization is associated, including distributing or making available materials which promote or oppose the issue;
- engage in any other election campaign activities not included in the above.
