2026 Car-Free Day Traffic Management Summary
St. Johns Street, between Douglas and Moody streets, will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 6am to 10pm on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Commuters and residents living in the area will be directed to use Clarke Street as a detour. On-street parking in the neighbourhood will be extremely limited. Bus riders can find temporary bus stops on Clarke Street. Expect delays, give yourself extra time to get to your destination, and use alternative routes if possible.

The safety of our residents and visitors is our top priority. As we do every year, the City is working with Port Moody Police and a traffic management company to ensure that security measures are in place for Car-Free Day.
