Location: Barnet Highway rail overpass, east of Dewdney Trunk Road
Work hours: 8pm to 5am
Impact to you: the night work will require two eastbound lane closures on the Barnet Highway overpass, between Ioco Road and Dewdney Trunk Road. Each lane will be closed one at a time, ensuring at least one eastbound lane remains open. During the work, delineators will be removed to allow access to the left-turn lane onto Ioco Road and reinstated afterward. Pedestrian access will not be affected. Expect traffic delays.

Barnet Hwy. - Bridge deck surface repairs (night work)
Barnet Hwy. - Culvert cleaning and CCTV inspection
When: November 7- December 19, 2025
Work hours: 9am to 3pm
Impact to you: Weather-dependent work will require single-lane alternating traffic on View Street and a westbound curb lane closure on Barnet Highway within the work zones. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
St. Andrews Street - Dismantling and removal of a modular building
When: November 17-December 5, 2025
Location: 2901 St. Johns Street
Work hours: 9am to 3pm
Impact to you: Single-lane alternating traffic on St. Andrews Street, east of Hugh Street. Westbound St. Andrews Street to be partially closed. Trucks to access site through Hugh Street, St. Andrews Street and Williams Street.
Suter Brook Village - Installation of raised crosswalks and concrete curbs
When: November 24 - December 12, 2025
Work hours: 7am to 7pm
Impact to you: single lane alternating traffic and parking restrictions on Capilano Road and Morrissey Road north of Capilano Road. Closure of north crosswalk at Morrissey Road and Capilano Road. Traffic delays expected.
Water System Upgrade Work - Guildford Way and Dewdney Trunk Road
Location 1: Dewdney Trunk Road at Viewmount Drive
When: December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026
Work hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm
Impact to you: Closure of the north parking lane on Dewdney Trunk Road, east of Viewmount Drive throughout construction. Work period includes 3-day closure of north segment of Viewmount Drive. Closure dates to be confirmed.
Location 2: Guildford Way at Carlsen Place
When: February 1 to 28, 2026
Work hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm
Impact to you: Closure of eastbound right lane and bike lane on Guildford Way at Carlsen Place/Eagle Ridge Hospital Main Entrance throughout construction. Cyclists to take the lane. After work hours, bike lane will be reopened. South sidewalk closed throughout construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to cross to north sidewalk at Falcon Drive and at Ungless Way. Expect traffic delays.
Park and trail construction
These are park and trail construction projects currently taking place in Port Moody. They may result in temporary closures or limited access to certain areas.
Hett Creek Trail - bridge closure
The Hett Creek Trail bridge was heavily damaged during the November 2024 windstorm and, following an engineering assessment, the bridge remains closed. Trail users can detour via Wilkes Creek Trail. In addition to providing a pedestrian pathway, this bridge also supports a sewer pipe attached underneath. The City has hired a structural engineering firm experienced in bridge construction and stabilization to design the repairs. The design work is now more than halfway complete.
Construction is now expected to begin in August 2026, when work in the creek area is permitted and conditions are suitable for protecting fish and wildlife. View a map of the detour at portmoody.ca/trails
Shoreline Trail Boardwalk - Partial closure - Wednesday December 3, 2025
From approximately 7am to 12pm, the section of boardwalk from Noons Creek north to the start of the lower gravel trail will be closed while crews complete remaining items that are part of the Shoreline Trail Boardwalk Replacement Project. This work will include plate installation and adjusting deck boards for a smoother, more secure surface.
If you are traveling along the boardwalk north from Murray Street, you will need to detour via the Trasolini connector and the upper paved multi-use path to continue in the direction of Old Orchard Park. If you are travelling southeast along the lower gravel path from Old Orchard Park, you will not be able to enter the boardwalk at Noons Creek – please detour via the upper paved multi-use path. Impact to you: Closure of the northbound curb lane on Clarke Road. Northbound traffic to merge into the left lane. Work will be completed in 20m sections. Sidewalk to remain open. Traffic control persons will be on site to assist pedestrians.
Forte Living - 111 Buller Street
Developer: Chroma
Impact to you: Street parking will be restricted along the eastbound curb lane on St. John’s Street and southbound curb lane on Buller Street. Curb lane on St. John’s will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained in each direction on Buller Street. Traffic delays are expected.
Inlet District - 161 Ioco Road
Developer: Wesgroup Properties
Impact to you: Single lane alternating traffic on Balmoral Drive, with priority for vehicles travelling on SB Balmoral Drive to avoid congestion in Guildford Way intersection. Parking restrictions on Balmoral Drive. Traffic control persons to support with access to Balmoral Place residences and with pedestrians and cyclists as required. Expect traffic delays.
Moody Yards - 3075 Murray Street
Developer: MOSAIC Homes
Impact to you: Street parking will be restricted along the westbound curb lane, and traffic on Murray Street will be maintained in one lane in each direction. Traffic delays are expected.

Work: Multi-family Construction - Excavation - Phases 1,2,3
Location: Phase 1 - 296 Angela Drive, Phase 2 - 1209 Cecile Drive and Phase 3 - 1218 Cecile Drive
Impact to you: Single lane alternating traffic on Angela Drive between Glenayre Drive and Cecile Drive. Local traffic only permitted on Victory Drive. Expect significant traffic delays. To minimize delays, it is recommended that motorists use College Park Way for access and student drop-off and pick-up at Seaview Community School. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage vehicle flow and minimize disruption, particularly during school drop-off and pick-up hours.

Impact to you: Parking lane closures on east and west side of James Road to accommodate truck movements out of development site. Driveway access to be maintained.
Spring Street Development - 3006 Spring Street
Developer: PCI Developments Corp.
Location: 3006 Spring Street
Impact to you: Spring Street will be fully closed to traffic at all times until December 19, 2025, with access limited to local vehicles only. Parking on both sides of the street is restricted, and additional parking limits will apply behind 3060 St. Johns Street from November 24 to 28, 2025 between 7am and 5pm for crane staging. The sidewalk will also be closed, and pedestrians will be redirected to an alternate route. All businesses will remain accessible with assistance from traffic control personnel.

Location: Clarke Road and Albert Street
Impact to you: One lane will remain open in each direction on Albert Street. No traffic pattern changes are planned for St. Johns Street or Barnet Highway.
Tri-Cities Rental Project - 110 James Road

Impact to you: Eastbound traffic will merge into the left lane as the curb right lane will be closed to accommodate the work area. Traffic delays are expected.
The Saint Andrews/BOSA Foods (St. Johns St.) - 2334 St. Andrews Street
Developer: Benedet Properties (St. Johns) Ltd.
Location: 2334 St. Andrews Street
Impact to you: Traffic in both directions will merge into a single counterflow lane on the north side of St. Johns Street to allow truck staging on the south side for crane erection. Expect traffic delays. Additional truck traffic will occur on the south sections of Queens Street, St. Andrews Street, and Kyle Street after crane parts and equipment are unloaded.
