Youth Scholarship Program

If you're in Grade 12 and intend to pursue a post-secondary education after you graduate, you can apply to the Port Moody Youth Scholarship Program. Each year, we award a $1,000 scholarship to a student in our city.

If selected, we will present you with a cheque after you provide proof of registration at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Youth Scholarship application process has closed for 2025 and will reopen in early 2026.

Eligibility requirements

To apply, you must be a Port Moody resident, or a student attending a Port Moody school, who's enrolled in Grade 12.

Evaluation criteria

The goal of the program is to recognize and honour a student who has acted in a leadership role and made significant contributions to the community.

You must demonstrate:

• leadership in, and contribute to, your school and community;
• excellence in academics, athletics, arts or technical education; and
• good academic standing (letter grade average of B or better).
