• K-Cups (no grounds - put those in green waste)

• Milk and juice cartons and jugs
• Moulded boxboard (e.g. egg cartons, beverage trays)
• Newspapers, flyers, catalogues, magazines, telephone books
• Paper bags with single & multiple paper layers (eg: pet food bags with no foil or plastic lining)
• Paper coffee cups and lids (no liquids, please empty)
• Plastic bottles, tubs, jugs and jars with caps and lids
• Plastic clamshells (e.g. for baked goods)
• Plastic cold drink cups and lids
• Plastic disposal clothes hangers (no wire hangers)
• Plastic floss dispensers
• Plastic garden plant pots and seedling trays
• Plastic pails, less than 25L (eg: laundry detergent, ice cream)
• Plastic straws
• Plastic tape dispensers
• Plastic Tupperware-like food containers and lids
• Plastic utensils and stir sticks (disposable forks, spoons, knives)
• Shredded paper (place shredded paper into a paper bag or box)
• Spiral wound paper cans and lids (e.g. frozen juice)
• Tetra Pak boxes and cartons (e.g. soups, sauces)

The United Boulevard Recycling and Waste Centre includes a full-service recycling depot where visitors can drop off materials for free, including batteries, electronics, cardboard, metal, expanded polystyrene, plastic containers and bags, light fixtures, cooking oil, books, textiles and more.

Contact us if you'd to request braille decals for your green waste, recycling, and garbage carts. We'll put them on your carts at no charge. 

Each decal is labelled as:

• G: garbage
• R: recycling
• O: organics (green waste)

Drop off end-of-life electronics at designated collection sites without charge. Collected electronics are then recycled responsibly. 

Accepted items include:

• Desktop computers
• Computer monitors
• Notebook computers
• Desktop printers and fax machines
• Televisions

Small appliances such as fans, blenders, hairdryers, vacuums and microwaves, and power tools such as drills, glue guns, and power saws must be kept out of the garbage so they can be properly recycled. Find out what is accepted and where to take it at Accepted Products - ElectroRecycle

We offer bi-weekly recycling services to local business.

We set you up with as many carts as you need and take away your recyclable items:

• empty plastic bottles;
• cardboard boxes; and
• used office paper.
