Home owners can upsize their garbage cart from the 120L standard issue to a 240L cart. A one-time $60 administration fee is charged for upsizing your cart and a pro-rated disposal charge is also applied for the number of months the larger cart is in service. The additional charges will added directly to your utility bill.

Home owners can also downsize their garbage cart from the 240L size to a 120L cart at any time. Requests are received year-round and there are no administrative charges to downsize your cart.

Email us if you'd like to request braille decals for your green waste, recycling, and garbage carts. We'll put them on your carts at no charge. 

Each decal is labelled as:

• G: garbage
• R: recycling
• O: organics (green waste)

You can bring large quantities of garbage to the United Boulevard Recycling and Waste Centre.

Large Item Collection- Remove or dispose of large items with our pay-per use system:

• Contact Waste Connections of Canada Inc. at 604.525.2072.
• Identify yourself as a Port Moody resident and request a large item pick up.
• Put your item(s) out on the scheduled pickup date as directed.
• Pay Waste Connections of Canada Inc. at time of booking.

Keep your carts clean by washing/rinsing your carts periodically with mild soap or a vinegar-water solution.  Pour soapy water onto grass or gravel.  Do not pour soapy water down outside drains.
