Notice is hereby given that the City of Port Moody intends to provide assistance by entering into a partnering agreement with Port Moody Golden Spike Days Society and providing it with a short-term interest free loan in the amount of $35,000 to be repaid by December 31, 2025, for the purpose of funding operational expenses of the 49th Annual Port Moody Golden Spike Day Festival, held from June 28, 2025 to July 1, 2025.

This notification is for the purposes of public disclosure as per sections 21, 24, and 94 of the Community Charter.

When: Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 7pm
Where: Regular Council Meeting, attended by electronic meeting or by in-person attendance in Council Chambers, City Hall, 100 Newport Dr., Port Moody, B.C. (see portmoody.ca/councilmeetings for details and instructions)

In accordance with Sections 97–99 of the Community Charter, Port Moody Council has prepared an annual report, which is available for public inspection and comment at City Hall (100 Newport Drive) starting June 2, 2025. The report contains 2024 department highlights, financial statements, and statistical analysis. It also outlines how the City met goals set out in the 2023–2026 Council Strategic Plan.

Council will consider the report and public comments at the Regular Council Meeting on June 24, 2025 starting at 7pm.

How can I provide input?

You may comment directly to Council at the Regular Council meeting scheduled for 7pm on June 24, 2025, by joining the electronic meeting as a participant or attending in-person in Council Chambers, City Hall, 100 Newport Dr., Port Moody, B.C. Visit portmoody.ca/councilmeetings for instructions on how to join the electronic meeting.

You can also send a submission in writing before 12pm on June 24, 2025, by emailing clerks@portmoody.ca or faxing 604.469.4550. Please include “Annual Report” in the subject line.
