18 community groups and individuals to receive funds through Port Moody grant program in 2025
Eighteen community groups and individuals will share more than $44,000 in funds in 2025 through the City of Port Moody’s Community Grants Program, which has three different streams: general community grants; artist grants; and arts, culture, and heritage grants.
“The Community Grants Program provides financial assistance for projects that contribute to the general interest and benefit of Port Moody residents,” says Mayor Meghan Lahti. “We are pleased to award our 2025 grants to a diverse group of non-profit organizations and artists. They are making a positive difference in our community by helping people in need and promoting arts, culture, and heritage in the City of the Arts.”
Members of Port Moody’s Citizen Advisory Group (CAG) were asked to review 47 eligible applications (34 for general community grants; six applications for artist grants; and seven applications for arts, culture, and heritage grants) received by the January 31, 2025 deadline, and make a recommendation to City Council as to which applications should be approved. The CAG is an advisory body made up of more than 250 Port Moody residents who volunteer their time to provide input on City issues.
Council approved the final awards at a Regular Meeting of Council on May 20, 2025. The 18 applicants listed below will receive Community Grants Program funds for 2025:
