Public Swimming

Welcome to Public Swimming! Dive into the refreshing waters of Rocky Point Pool, nestled in Rocky Point Park (2800 Murray St), and Westhill Pool, located in Westhill Park (203 Westhill Pl.). Come join us and make a splash this summer!

Public Swimming Hours

Both Rocky Point Pool and Westhill Pool are now open for public swimming every day from 1-5 pm and 6-8 pm. Come and enjoy our refreshing waters during these hours, perfect for afternoon and evening swims. Dive in and make the most of your summer at our fantastic outdoor pools!

Public Swimming Admissions

New for the 2024 swim season, the admission fee for the City’s outdoor swimming pools at Rocky Point and Westhill will be $2 per person (tax incl.) for all ages and all sessions (afternoon swim or evening swim). Members with monthly fitness memberships can access both pools as part of their membership. To purchase a monthly membership please do so at the recreation complex.

Aquafit at Rocky Point Pool

Class Schedule:

  • Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm

Join us at Rocky Point Pool for a 60-minute resistance and cardio-based workout in shallow to chest-deep water, suitable for all fitness levels. Our Aquafit sessions offer a refreshing and low-impact way to stay active, using water dumbbells and providing modifications to accommodate all participants. Whether it's rain or shine, you'll enjoy a fantastic workout with minimal impact on your joints.

What to Expect:

  • First-Come, First-Served: All public swims operate on a first-come, first-served basis, including groups who have communicated their intent to attend. There are no guarantees for group entry; everyone must follow first-come, first-served procedures.
  • Admission Purchase: Admissions can be bought individually or collectively for your group on your chosen date. Payments are made at the time of entry, and all swimmers must be present. Late arrivals will not be allowed to bypass the line or be paid for in advance.
  • Admission Fee: The admission fee applies to everyone entering the facility gates, whether they are swimming or just observing.
  • Capacity Limits: Pools may reach capacity. Entrance gates will close until space becomes available.
  • Supervision Requirements: All children under 7 years must be accompanied in the water and within arm's reach of a responsible adult, with a ratio of 2 children to 1 adult. Children who do not meet the age requirement of 7 years and older must wear a wristband.
  • Food and Setup: Food is welcome inside the gates in the grassy area.
