Highlights
- Art at Council – Councillor Knowles shared two acrylic paintings by artists Barb Krell and Wendy Milne.
Barb Krell's painting, Summer Commute Barnet Hwy, transforms a simple landscape into a playful scene filled with bouncing sunshine cascading across the trees. The abstracted scenery encourages the viewer to pause, reflect, and notice the beauty in familiar places.
Wendy Milne's painting, Stepping Into an Old World, captures the charm of an Italian landscape from a recent trip. As she painted it, she imagined the centuries of footsteps and conversations that had passed through the space.
