Privacy When Using Xplor Recreation

Privacy Notice

Before registering for a recreation or culture program, all individuals must set up an account through the City of Port Moody’s recreation services software provider, Xplor Recreation.

As a contracted third-party provider to the City of Port Moody, Xplor Recreation does not use, disclose, or retain personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected—except with your consent or as required by law. From time to time, anonymized information may be used for evaluation and data analysis to support performance measurement and future planning of programs and services.

Personal information collected may include your name, birth date, contact details, demographic data, address, and other identifying information. This data is stored on Xplor Recreation’s secure, password-protected, cloud-based servers located in Canada. It is collected under section 26(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for the purpose of administering recreation and culture programs, services, and activities.

Please note: individuals under the age of 19 require consent and appropriate supervision from a legal guardian to register for a program, purchase a pass, or use recreation or culture facilities. Only registered guardians may manage their dependents’ accounts, and any information collected about dependents can only be accessed by those guardians.
