Help us create a 30-year-plan for Port Moody – fill out a community survey today

As part of Port Moody 2050, a one- to two-year process to gather public input and draft focused updates to the Official Community Plan, we invite you to fill out a community survey on some key topics that were identified by the public and City Council in our initial phases of engagement. Your input will help us prepare land use scenarios and options for four Port Moody neighbourhood areas: Seaview, Moody Centre Transit-Oriented Development Area, Oceanfront District (west of Rocky Point Park), and Murray Street. You’ll have a chance to share your thoughts on these land use scenarios in our next phase of public engagement planned for September/October 2021.

Go to engage.portmoody.ca to fill out the survey today. The key topics are:

  • population growth;
  • community and recreation amenities;
  • parks and green space;
  • development and neighbourhood planning;
  • Moody Centre revitalization; and
  • economic development and employment.

A paper copy of the survey will be included in this year’s property tax notice, mailed to renters, and available at City Hall (100 Newport Drive). The survey will remain open through June 28, 2021.

Port Moody’s Official Community Plan is our long-term vision for the future, a living document that’s shaped by the people who live here. This plan is important because it communicates our values and guides us as we make decisions about how we use land for housing, transportation, parks, environmental protection, economic development, and more. It’s your plan for your city, so we want to hear your voice!
