Port Moody’s Shoreline Shuttle will operate on special event days this summer – hop on, it’s free to ride

Heading to one of Port Moody’s major events this summer? Leave the car at home and hop on the Shoreline Shuttle. It’s a free, convenient way to travel between key destinations in Inlet Centre and Moody Centre on the following special event days:
- Golden Spike Days Festival – June 27 and 28, 2026
- Connect on Canada Day – July 1, 2026
- RIBFEST– July 17, 18, and 19, 2026
- Car-Free Day – August 16, 2026
- Summer Sundays concerts – July 5, 12, and 26 and August 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2026
“Council is excited to bring back the Shoreline Shuttle, originally introduced in 2018, as a pilot to help further our climate action and transportation goals,” says Mayor Meghan Lahti. “This free service connects Inlet Centre, Rocky Point Park, and Moody Centre, with stops at major destinations including the Recreation Complex, Civic Centre, Inlet Park, Kyle Centre, business areas on Clarke and St. Johns streets, and Moody Centre and Inlet Centre SkyTrain stations. We want to make it easier for residents and visitors to choose public transit over personal vehicles when travelling to the special events that make summer in Port Moody so much fun.
“I’d like to offer special thanks to our Shoreline Shuttle sponsor, the BCLC Human Connection Project. We appreciate BCLC’s support and their focus on championing human connection as a means to support social health, a diversity of perspectives, and a sense of belonging. I encourage you to hop on the Shoreline Shuttle and connect with others during the ride and at one or more of the community events happening in Port Moody this summer!”
