New Account Creation and Registration

The City of Port Moody launched a new online recreation registration system in July. This new system allows you to search, register, and pay for your favourite programs from the comfort of your own home - any device, any day, any time!

If you haven't registered for programs since the launch, you will need to set up a new recreation account prior to registration. It's easy to do and takes less than 2 minutes. We are also happy to help you over the phone at (604)469-4556.

NEW Withdrawal Fee Policy

A withdrawal fee of $10.00 will be charged to anyone who withdraws from a program less than 8 days before the start of a program. This fee will be charged until the end of the second class. No refunds are granted after the end of the second class. This fee has been implemented to keep more registration spots open and deter individuals from registering for more programs than they intend to use.

Program refund Policy

We will gladly refund your account, for any reason, within the first or second class of our registered programs. Refunds will not be issued after the second class. For camps, workshops, private lessons and 1-day programs including Pro-D days, one week notice is required.

Early Learners Playschool requires one-month notice, in writing, at the beginning of the month. Refunds for programs paid by cash will be issued in the form of a cheque mailed out to participants once refund request has been processed. Refunds will be prorated accordingly.

Emails to Customers

Our new online registration system has the following URL: https://cityofportmoody.perfectmind.com and emails from our new system come from communication@perfectmind.com. It is not SPAM, you can trust that it is from the City of Port Moody and is secure.

Here's how to create your account: 

  1. Click on “Create an Account”
  2. Even if you have previously registered for a program, or you have a membership, you will need to create a new account. You will not need your existing account PIN or ID #.
  3. Enter your name and details. Make sure that the primary contact is over 19 years of age.
  4. Enter details for all of your family members. Please note that you will not be able to change birth dates online after entering them for the first time, changes will require proof of age at our facility.
  5. Emails from our new system will come from communication@perfectmind.com

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) 

  1. Why are you switching to a new system? 
    • We are currently using a dated recreation software application that is being discontinued by the supplier. This has provided us with a great opportunity to secure a contemporary recreation application to better serve our customers.
  2. Will my account information be automatically updated into the new system? 

    • Recreation staff have created new accounts for the majority of fitness members in order to move their memberships over to the new software system. Fitness members will receive a notification from the new software system from communication@perfectmind.com.  All other customers will be encouraged to create a new account prior to the launch of the system.

  3. How can I find out what my password is?
    • Go to the "Login" screen and press "Forgot your password" and follow the instructions. Check your email inbox for mail with the subject line: "Your Login Information for City of Port Moody” or “Your Password”.  The email will be sent from communication@perfectmind.com and will include your temporary assigned password to login.
  4. What if I don't have an email address?
    • You can set up your account and register in person or over the phone at the Recreation Complex or Kyle Centre
  5. How will customers' personal information be secured in the new registration system?
    • Our new system meets the industry standard for encryption and security measures to protect people’s personal information. 

    • At the same time, we strongly encourage our users to choose a strong password and also be diligent in protecting their personal  information and account details.

  6. Can I withdraw from a program online?
    • Please ensure you are aware of our withdrawal fee policy
    • Yes, it is possible to withdrawal online 24 hrs after you have made payment. To withdraw from a program that you’re registered in online you need to do the following:
      • Log into your account
      • Select the person whose course information you want to view
      • Scroll down to "schedules" and click to expand
      • The courses which you have registered for will appear in the calendar, but you may find it easier to "switch to list view". 
      • Find the course you would like to withdraw from and cllick on "Actions" on the right hand side
      • Select withdraw
    • There are a few courses where we are experiencing technical issues, which we are working to correct. Plus some courses do not allow online withdrawals. If you experience problems, please call us on (604)469-4556.
