Public skating starts the week of October 13, 2021. We offer public skates, parent and tot skates, adult only skates, and new this year - Public Toonie skates on Fridays at 1pm and Female Ring, Stick & Puck on Fridays at 11:30am.

Booking Public skating

  • Booking is highly recommended to guarantee a spot, drop-ins will be allowed if space permits
  • Booking opens 25 hours prior to each sessions
  • Family admission rates are available, please phone (604)469-4556 to register for this rate
  • Skate and helmet rentals must be pre-purchased online at the time of booking (with the exception of Youth Toonie Skate), keep in mind that hockey skates fit 1-2 sizes smaller than shoe size, figure skates fit the same as shoe size

Public skating rules and regulations

In order to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy and stay safe, you must abide by the following rules:

  • Participants 12 years and older will need to show proof of vaccination in order to participate in all public skating activities aside from Youth Ring Stick and Puck and Youth Toonie Skate. 
  • Mask are not required when on the ice
  • All children seven and under must be with a parent or adult supervisor
  • CSA-approved hockey, ski or snowboard helmets are mandatory for children 10 and under 
  • Children in strollers must be a minimum of 12 months of age and wear a helmet on the ice
  • No jumping or twirling during public skates
  • Full hockey equipment required including a CSA approved helmet with visor/face cage for all hockey sessions
  • Hockey gloves and CSA approved helmet with visor/face cage required for all Ring, Stick & Puck sessions
  • Stick & Puck sessions are recreational, non-competitive hockey
