Fall 2024 public skating will begins October 16

  • Booking a spot for our drop-in activities is highly recommended to guarantee a spot, booking opens 25 hours prior to each session. Drop-ins will be allowed if space permits (with the exceptions of Youth Skate where drop-ins are not permitted). To pay in person, visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop 
  • Skate and helmet rentals must be pre-purchased online at the time of booking (with the exception of Youth Skate)

Public Skating and Drop-in Ice Sport Descriptions

Parent and Child Playskate/Hockey Zone

  • Skating toys are available for play and a designated area for fun recreational hockey is available
  • Skate & helmet rentals for this drop-in session are included, for 1 adult and 1 child
  • CSA approved helmets (hockey, snowboard & ski) are required for children 10 and under. Face cage is recommended but optional
  • Strollers are welcome-children in strollers must be a minimum of 12 months old and must wear a helmet
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (if there is space), visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop
  • Participants are required to check-in at the Skate Shop upon arrival to receive a wristband
  • Parent participation required
Adult Ring, Stick & Puck
  • Recreational Adult ring, stick & puck drop-in for those 18 years and up
  • Level of play must be safe for all abilities including beginners
  • All participants must have a CSA approved helmet, hockey gloves, stick, ring or puck
  • A cage or visor is highly recommended for participants 18+
  • No goalies, no scrimmages
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (if there is space), visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop
  • Participants are required to check-in at the Skate Shop upon arrival to receive a wristband
Adult Skate
  • Enjoy lap skating as a great addition to your fitness program
  • Directional skate, no jumping or twirling during public skate
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (if there is space), visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop
  • Participants are required to check-in at the Skate Shop upon arrival to receive a wristband
Adult Drop-in Hockey
  • Recreational, non-contact drop-in hockey
  • All levels of play welcome
  • Full hockey equipment required including a CSA approved helmet with visor/face cage
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (if there is space), visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop
Toonie Skate
  • A great way to enjoy your Friday afternoon on ice
  • Children 7 and under require on-ice adult supervision
  • CSA approved helmets (hockey, snowboard & ski) are required for children 10 and under, face cage is recommended but optional
  • Strollers are welcome, children in strollers must be minimum of 12 months old and must wear a helmet
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (if there is space), visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop

Youth Ring, Stick & Puck
  • Youth ring, stick & puck for youth grades 6-12
  • Participants must have own hockey gloves, stick and puck
  • All participants must have a CSA approved helmet with a full face cage, hockey gloves, stick, and ring or puck
  • No goalies allowed, no scrimmages
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (if there is space), visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop
  • Participants are required to check-in at the Skate Shop upon arrival to receive a wristband

Family Ring, Stick & Puck

  • This registered Family Ring, Stick & Puck drop-in is for parents/guardian with children ages 3-12. Parents must stay and play
  • No skate assists, no strollers
  • All participants must be able to skate comfortably across the ice
  • Hockey gloves and a CSA approved hockey helmet with a face cage is required for children
  • Adults are required to wear a CSA approved hockey helmet
  • Bring your own hockey puck or ring
  • No goalies, no scrimmages
  • Level of play must be safe for all abilities of children including beginners
  • Children must be supervised on-ice at all times
  • Ratio of 1 adult to 3 children
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (space permitting), visit the front desk, then proceed to the skate shop
  • Participants are required to check-in at the Skate Shop upon arrival to receive a wristband
Public Skate
  • Directional skate for everyone to enjoy
  • Children 7 and under require on-ice adult supervision
  • CSA approved helmets (hockey, snowboard & ski) are required for children 10 and under. Face cage is recommended but optional
  • Strollers are welcome-children in strollers must be minimum of 12 months old and must wear a helmet
  • Wheelchairs are welcome, attendants must wear skates
  • Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited spots, to pay in person (if there is space), visit the front desk then proceed to the skate shop

  • Participants are required to check-in at the Skate Shop upon arrival to receive a wristband.

Public Skating and Drop-in Ice Sports rules

In order to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy and stay safe, you must abide by the following rules:

  • All children seven and under must be with a parent or adult supervisor
  • CSA-approved hockey, ski or snowboard helmets are mandatory for children 10 and under 
  • Children in strollers must be a minimum of 12 months of age and wear a helmet on the ice
  • No jumping or twirling during public skates
  • Hockey gloves and CSA approved helmet with visor/face cage required for all Ring, Stick and Puck sessions
  • Stick and Puck sessions are recreational, non-competitive hockey
  • Full hockey equipment required for all hockey sessions including:

NEW Youth Night Skate rules and procedures

A Friday night skate for youth grades 6-12
  • Please note: Advanced registration required, drop-ins are not permitted
  • Online registration is open until 7:59pm on Friday evenings
  • Government issued ID or Go-card required for admission
  • Rentals are included for this session
  • CSA approved helmets (hockey, ski or snowboard) are recommended
  • Bag checks required for admission
  • Leave valuables at home - no lockers available
  • Doors open 30 minutes prior to session start
  • No in & outs permitted
  • No entry permitted after 8:30pm
  • Facility Code of Conduct enforced - no vaping, chewing tobacco, or illegal substances on or off ice
