Penguin Plunge 

Are you ready to take the plunge? Come on down and jump into the chilly waters of Burrard Inlet. This event, hosted annually by the Pleasantside Community Association, is a New Year’s Day tradition in Port Moody.

Earth Week

Each year on April 22, people around the world celebrate Earth Day as a way to demonstrate their commitment to protecting our planet. In Port Moody, we plan a whole week of activities to strengthen our connection with nature and raise awareness of how our activities affect the Earth.

Fingerling Festival

The Fingerling Festival, hosted by the Noons Creek Hatchery, takes place annually on the first Saturday in May and features more than 60 environmental and community organizations.

Public Works Day Open House - not planned for 2023

Held at the City's Public Works Yard, this event features informative exhibits, live demonstrations of equipment, and family-friendly activities. Our Open House is part of Public Works Week (May 19-25), which celebrates the value and necessity of public works projects, and the contributions of public works professionals.

Port Moody Community Fair - not planned for 2023

Celebrate our community while connecting with local people, services, and organizations. The fair features free and fun activities for all ages. Join us as we celebrate everything that makes Port Moody such a great place to live, work, and play.

Golden Spike Days June 30 - July 2, 2023

This long-running festival features fun activities, live entertainment, tasty food, arts and crafts, and a variety of craft beer vendors.

Spend Canada’s birthday in beautiful Rocky Point Park! Canada Day festivities also include the Port Moody Firefighters Annual Pancake Breakfast.

RibFest - July 21-23, 2023

The Rotary Club of Port Moody hosts this annual event featuring three days of delicious BBQ, free live music, craft breweries, and family entertainment.

Car-Free Day - not planned for 2023

Port Moody’s Car-Free Day takes over St. Johns Street in August. We close five blocks and have a huge street celebration, filled with local businesses, musicians, green transportation displays, delicious food, and a family-friendly Brewers Row beer garden.

 Ioco Ghost Town Day

This family-friendly event hosted by PoMo Museum is a community favourite. Enjoy 20+ local vendors, live music, food trucks, trolley tours of the town site, a corn maze, and much more.

Culture Days

Culture Days is a free, hands-on, interactive weekend of activities, where members of the public get a sneak peak behind the creative process of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers. Come get cultural with us!

Remembrance Day Ceremony
On November 11, the Port Moody Legion honours our veterans and their families on Remembrance Day. Over 500 Cadets, Scouts, Girl Guides and Brownies join the Colour Party, Veterans, Legion members and First Responders to participate in a parade that ends at the cenotaph for the official act of remembrance and two-minute silence, followed by the laying of the wreaths.

 Holiday Cheer at the Pier - tentative for 2023

We flip the switch to light up the pier and gazebo at Rocky Point Park with thousands of twinkling lights. Have a cup of hot chocolate with your neighbours, sing along with carolers, and celebrate the holiday season!

 CP Holiday Train

Decked out in thousands of lights, the CP Holiday Train travels across Canada during the holiday season to raise food and cash donations for local food banks. Your generous donation stay right here in the Tri-Cities. The train will be rolling into Port Moody mid-December with the exact date provided mid-October
