Are you looking to have some fun this summer? From block parties to festivals, the City of Port Moody supports events that build a sense of community.

Applications are required for hosting block parties, festivals, and special events. You will need to submit your application at least three months prior to the requested event date. Contact us for help with the application process.

Block parties are a great way to get to know your neighbours and celebrate being a Port Moody resident. Host a party in the street, in the common space of a townhouse complex, in front of your apartment building or in a nearby park. If you are planning an event to benefit your neighbourhood, please read about Community Association Events and Block Parties.

For larger celebrations like festivals or special events, we can help you through the event application process. Learn more about hosting a festival or special event prior to planning.

Through our Festival and Special Event Assistance Program the City considers applications for funding to support community groups hosting eligible festivals or special events in the city. Applications are being accepted for 2025 event assistance.

Please note that if you are considering fireworks at your special event, then you will need a fireworks permit from Port Moody Fire Rescue.
