Art in Public Spaces

The arts play an important role in Port Moody. The 2018 Arts and Culture Master Plan defines a vision and identifies actions to help guide the development of arts and culture resources and activities in the city for the next 10 years, and the 2021 Art in Public Spaces Master Plan recognizes the growing multiplicity of public art and the various ways in which it can be integrated into the public realm.

While the City offers a number of programs and grants to support artists and events, the artistic community in Port Moody also contributes greatly to our vibrant cultural scene. Individual artists and artist collectives have left their mark on the city through commissioned pieces of public art, donated art, and artistic displays and exhibitions.
