St. Johns Street between Elgin and Moody will be closed to vehicle traffic November 11 from 8am-2pm for Remembrance Day ceremony

To facilitate the Port Moody Royal Canadian Legion #119 Remembrance Day parade and ceremony, St. Johns Street between Elgin and Moody streets will be closed to all vehicle traffic on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 8am to 2pm. Vehicle access will also be prohibited on Kyle Street between St. George Street and Clarke Street.
Commuters and residents living in the area will be directed to use Clarke Street as a detour. Please follow the direction of traffic management personnel on-site. On-street parking in the neighbourhood will be extremely limited. Bus riders can find temporary bus stops on Clarke Street. Expect delays, give yourself extra time to get to your destination, and use alternative routes if possible.
Along with an expanded road closure, event attendees can expect a new parade route beginning at Moody Elementary (2717 St. Johns Street) at approximately 10:30am. The parade will head west on St. Johns Street to the cairn outside of PoMoArts (2425 St. Johns Street), where the Remembrance Day service will take place. Members of the public are encouraged to walk, bike, or take public transit to the parade and ceremony
