Free webinar: learn about home heating and cooling with a climate-friendly heat pump

The City of Port Moody and the CleanBC Community Energy Coach Program are offering a free webinar for homeowners interested in learning about heat pumps. Register today at portmoody.ca/heatpump and join us for an informative session on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 starting at 7pm.

A heat pump is the most energy-efficient and climate-friendly heating and cooling system currently available in B.C. During the webinar, CleanBC will cover how a heat pump works, the benefits of a heat pump, and how to find a registered contractor, as well as which rebates, financing offers, and supports are available to help you upgrade your current heating system.

Did you know:

  • there are up to $6,000 in rebates from the CleanBC Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebate Program when installing a heat pump, and there are rebates available for upgrading from electric, natural gas, oil, propane, and wood to a heat pump;
  • there are rebates available for upgrading from electric baseboards or furnace to a heat pump; and
  • there is a Heat Pump Group Purchase Rebate that allows you to access more rebates by joining a group of community members who are also buying a heat pump – register for a rebate before January 24, 2022 to use the *current group code specific to Port Moody (see below for more information).

The free webinar will be presented via Zoom, a virtual meeting platform, and registration is required. Space is limited so be sure to register early! You will receive an automatic confirmation email upon registration and a reminder one day before the webinar. Registrants will have access to a recording of the webinar in case they are unable to attend on November 24.

*Heat Pump Group Purchase Rebate – Port Moody Group Code

CleanBC Better Homes offers a heat pump group purchase rebate of up to $500 for homeowners switching from an oil, natural gas, or propane heating system to an eligible air-source heat pump. The more homes that register and apply as a group using the same group code, the higher the rebate for each participant – share this with your friends!
