“In Port Moody, on Canada Day and every day, we embrace the diversity of our community and extend our appreciation to the Coast Salish Nations on whose traditional territory this city now resides,” says Mayor Meghan Lahti. “We are grateful to these Nations’ for their ongoing stewardship of the land, air, and water that sustains us all.
“On behalf of Council, I invite you to spend Canada Day at Rocky Point Park, connecting with others through food, art, and music. We have a variety of activities for you to enjoy, including a special ceremony hosted by Council at 1pm. We hope to see you there.”
