Adults 60+ are invited to drop in to new Youthful Lounge to relax, connect, and enjoy light activities

Starting September 2, 2025, the City of Port Moody invites adults aged 60+ to drop in to the new Youthful Lounge – a welcoming, accessible space where older adults can relax, connect with others, and enjoy light activities – on weekdays between 9am and 2pm. 

The Youthful Lounge will be located in the Youth Lounge space downstairs in the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Road). This new use of the space will not affect the Lounge schedule for youth in grades 6 through 12. 

City staff will be available to facilitate light activities such as cribbage, pool, card games, knitting/crocheting, or watching TV news/movies. Visitors will be invited to share feedback and ideas for future programming.

There is no registration required and no cost for admission or activities. Visitors are welcome to bring their own snacks and/or non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee or tea.
