Statement from the Mayor’s Office regarding the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, B.C.

On behalf of Port Moody, Mayor Meghan Lahti extends our deepest sympathies to those affected by the school shooting that occurred yesterday in Tumbler Ridge. We are deeply saddened by this tragic event. Our thoughts are with the victims, students and staff, their families and loved ones, and the Tumbler Ridge community.

Flags at City facilities will be lowered to half-mast for one week to honour the lives lost.
