Access and Inclusion in Recreation

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in recreation. If you are a low-income resident of Port Moody, you may qualify for the Leisure Access Program, which provides reduced-cost access to programs and services.

Participants who require additional support are welcome to bring their own support person to help them fully enjoy their recreation experience. Families are encouraged to make these arrangements to ensure their loved ones feel confident and supported in our programs. For assistance or to confirm your arrangements, please email recreationinclusion@portmoody.ca at least two weeks before the program begins.

How to Participate

If your child or family member requires support to participate in the program you’ve registered for, we kindly ask that you provide your own support person. A support person is someone who can assist your child to fully participate in the program, including helping with activities, social interactions, and any other needs that may arise. Please note that the support person must be over the age of 18.

  1. Register for Your Program: Sign up for your desired program(s) through our online registration system.
  2. Plan for Support: Arrange for a support person to attend the program alongside the participant.
  3. Confirm Your Arrangements: Email recreationinclusion@portmoody.ca at least two weeks before the program begins to confirm your support person and any additional needs.
Summer 2025 Camp Support

Requests for inclusion and support for summer camps will open in the spring, subject to available staff and other resources.
