Join a civic committee – apply online today

Looking for a way to get involved in your community? Join a civic committee today! Visit portmoody.ca/committees to learn more and apply online. Applications must be submitted by Thursday, November 30, 2023.

“Port Moody’s committees advise City Council on a wide variety of important topics and issues, helping to advance Council’s priorities as articulated in our Council Strategic Plan,” says Mayor Meghan Lahti. “And we need a wide variety of people to represent our residents and our business community on civic committees. Whether you’re passionate about a specific aspect of community life – from arts and culture or economic development to transportation or parks and environment – or you’d like to help out and make a difference wherever you can, your community needs your voice!”

Help shape Port Moody’s future by sharing your unique perspective and working collaboratively with a diverse group of people. See below for a list of committees in need of members.

We are also accepting applications for the Board of Variance. As part of the City’s development application review process, the Board of Variance considers requests from applicants to relax certain City bylaw requirements in situations where compliance may cause undue hardship. At a Board of Variance Hearing, the Board may approve a request for a variance – with or without conditions – or deny it. You can apply to be a member of the Board by filling out the same form used for committee applications
