Road construction work to begin on Clarke Road
The City of Port Moody will begin construction work on Clarke Road from Barnet Highway to Ingersoll Street starting Monday, June 6, 2016. Crews will be on site from 7am to 8pm and work is expected to continue until early September, 2016.
One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction at all times. There are no planned closures or detours, and areas of work will be adjusted to accommodate rush hour traffic.
Work includes rehabilitation of the existing road surface and installation of municipal utilities such as storm drainage, watermain improvements, and street lighting. The project will also include safety improvements such as improved road alignment, installation of concrete barriers, new sidewalks, signage, and lane marking upgrades.
The Clarke Road rehabilitation project is being done in partnership with TransLink and ICBC, and is intended to ensure this important road continues to meet the long term needs of the community.
