Port Moody invites residents to enjoy Holiday Cheer at the Pier on December 2
The City of Port Moody invites residents to enjoy Holiday Cheer at the Pier on December 2, 2017. This free event for all ages runs from 6 to 8pm at Rocky Point Pier and Boat Launch (2800 block of Murray Street), with festive lights switched on at 6:30pm.
Help us celebrate the holiday season! Starting at 6pm, join your friends and neighbours at the gazebo by the pier for hot chocolate and a sugar cookie. Listen to carol singers, ride the Candy Cane mini train, and write a letter to Santa.
At 6:30pm, Mayor Mike Clay will flip a switch to light up the pier and gazebo for all to enjoy. This festive illumination will light the way for our special guest, Santa Claus, who will visit with children in the gazebo, hand out candy canes, and pose for pictures. Holiday Cheer at the Pier wraps up at 8pm, when Santa heads back to the North Pole to feed his reindeer.
This is an outdoor event, so please dress for the weather. There will be limited parking at Rocky Point Park, as well as limited overflow parking after 6pm at Inlet Park (3000 block Murray Street). Please consider walking or taking public transit.
