Port Moody celebrates everyday superheroes during Public Works Week May 17-23

Over five days during Public Works Week, which runs from May 17 to 23, 2020, we’ll use our social media channels to recognize a team of City employees who are everyday superheroes.
From providing clean water and disposing of solid waste, to maintaining our roads and taking care of our parks, our public works professionals contribute to the excellent quality of life we enjoy in Port Moody. They have continued to serve our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that makes them #COVID19HEROES in our eyes. We thank them for their hard work, expertise, and commitment to public service, today and every day.
Our 2020 Public Works Day Open House, scheduled for May 22, 2020, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we encourage you to visit us on Facebook and Twitter through May 22 to learn more about how our public works professionals make a difference in the daily lives of Port Moody residents.
Public Works Week is celebrated in May each year across Canada and the United States to educate the general public about the value and necessity of public works projects, and the contributions of public works professionals.
