Update, November 25, 2024: Road Closure Bylaw – Portion of Moray Place, 2024, No. 3444 has been removed from the December 3, 2024 agenda and will be rescheduled for a later date. 

(Pursuant to Sections 26, 40, and 94 of the Community Charter)

Purpose: Pursuant to Section 40 of the Community Charter, the Council of City of Port Moody intends to adopt Road Closure Bylaw – Portion of Moray Place, 2024, No. 3444 which will close that portion of Moray Place having an area of 76.3m2, originally dedicated on Plan 57529, as highlighted by heavy black line on Map 1 - Road Closure Survey Plan.

Once the road is closed, the City of Port Moody intends to sell it to LMV CHURCHILL HOLDINGS LTD., owner of the adjacent lands known as 110 to 118 James Road and 3121 to 3127 St. Johns Street, for consolidation with their development site for the appraised amount of $276,024. Map 2 illustrates the proposed road closure if approved and the consolidated site boundary.

The proposed closure, cancellation, sale and consolidation are dependent on adoption of City of Port Moody Zoning Bylaw, 2018, No. 2937, Amendment Bylaw No. 80, 2024, No. 3408 (3121 and 3127 St. Johns Street and 110‑118 James Road) (CD90).

This notification is posted per Section 26 and Section 40(3) of the Community Charter and is for the purposes of public disclosure only and is not solicitation of an offer. Following the receipt and review of comments from the public, Council will proceed to consider the adoption of the road closure bylaw.

Copies of the bylaw can be inspected in person at the second-floor counter in City Hall, Monday to Friday, from November 15, 2024 to December 3, 2024, excluding statutory holidays, from 8:30am to 5pm.
