City of Port Moody Road Closure Bylaw – Buckingham Drive, Edinburgh Drive, Edinburgh Place, and a Portion of Windsor Drive, 2024, No. 3455 (the “Road Closure Bylaw”)

(Pursuant to Sections 26, 40, and 94 of the Community Charter)

When: Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 7pm

Purpose: Pursuant to Section 40 of the Community Charter, the Council of City of Port Moody intends to consider adoption of the Road Closure Bylaw which will close Buckingham Drive, Edinburgh Drive, Edinburgh Place, and a Portion of Windsor Drive having an area of 9,237 m2 as highlighted by heavy blue line on Map 1.

Once the road is closed, the City of Port Moody intends to sell it to INLET DISTRICT BUILDING 1 LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, owner of the adjacent lands, consisting of 59 single family lots in the area generally known as ‘Coronation Park’ – Area A (Inlet District). The closed roads are appraised at $12,600,000, and the City will receive $2,181,900 cash plus park land valued at $10,418,727. The closed roads will be consolidated with the adjacent lands as part of a broader development which includes the park land to be acquired by the City.

Copies of the Road Closure Bylaw can be inspected in person at the second-floor counter in City Hall, Monday to Friday, from December 23, 2024 to January 14, 2025, excluding statutory holidays, from 8:30am to 5pm. Please note that City Hall will be closed from 12:00pm on December 24, 2024 to January 1, 2025.
