Inlet Park

We are pleased to share that Inlet Park (3024 Murray Street) is now open to the public for the first time since December 2022, when site preparation began for the Inlet Park Redevelopment Project. This is a soft opening to allow the public to explore and enjoy the new park amenities in advance of the official opening in April 2024.

A few finishing touches are still underway to complete the first two of the three phases of work on this project. This includes completion of the batting cages, which will remain fenced off and restricted from public access until work has finished. The once-gravel field has now been transformed into a high-quality, all-weather, artificial turf surface, and a natural play area and tot lot are available for children. Phase 3 of this project will involve the construction of a new fieldhouse with public washrooms. In the meantime, a temporary, portable washroom facility is available seven days a week from 8am to 10pm. We thank the public for their patience during construction of the new park, and we look forward to completing these remaining items.

The City will be hosting an official opening ceremony and ribbon cutting in April 2024. We will be sharing more details in the coming weeks. Visit portmoody.ca/inletpark to learn more about the project.
