National Indigenous People’s Day Community Paddle and Feast - Friday, June 21, 6–9:30pm |
Rocky Point Park (Free) Ta-ah Amy George and Cultural Leader Charlene Aleck lead a water blessing ceremony for the Burrard Inlet. Share in a community feast, enjoy live entertainment, and see traditional ocean-going canoes from neighbouring First Nations. |
Golden Spike Days Festival - June 28–July 1 |
Rocky Point Park (By donation) This long-running festival features fun activities, live entertainment, tasty food, arts and crafts, and a variety of craft beer vendors. Make sure to check out Canadian roots rock reggae band Big Sugar on June 30, presented by the City of Port Moody. |
Port Moody Firefighters 42nd Annual Pancake Breakfast - June 29 and 30, 8am–12pm |
Inlet Centre Fire Hall 150 Newport Drive (By donation) Firefighters are volunteering their time to make breakfast for charity! Money raised goes to the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation and Crossroads Hospice. |
Canada Day Celebration - Monday, July 1, 11am–6pm |
Rocky Point Park (Free) Celebrate Canada’s birthday at beautiful Rocky Point Park! Come down for the patriotic ceremony at 1pm, grab a cupcake from Council at 1:30pm, and swing by Pop-Up City Hall until 6pm. |
Port Moody Ribfest - July 19–21, 11am–9pm |
Rocky Point Park (Free) This popular community event is presented by Rotary Club of Port Moody, and features three days of delicious BBQ, live music, craft breweries, and family entertainment (including a Kids Zone). |
Westhill Family Pool Party - Sunday, July 7, 1–4pm |
Westhill Pool, 203 Westhill Place ($2 a person) Celebrate the start of summer with a family BBQ and some pool time. Games and activities for kids and parents include a magic show and balloon art with Gizmo the Clown, pool challenges, and bouncy castle. |
Car-Free Day - Sunday, August 18, 12pm–7pm |
St. Johns Street (Free) Port Moody’s Car-Free Day is taking over St. Johns Street. We’re closing five blocks and having a huge street celebration, filled with local businesses, musicians, green transportation displays, delicious food, and a family-friendly Brewers Row beer garden. |
