Eight Port Moody businesses nominated for Small Business BC Awards – nominations still open!

Eight small businesses in Port Moody have been nominated for the 14^th annual Small Business BC Awards, presented by Small Business BC and the Insurance Bureau of Canada.

The local businesses are:

• Anderson Prototypes – Best Innovation
• Around My House Consignment – Premier’s People’s Choice and Best Community Impact
• Butter Studios – Premier’s People’s Choice
• Caffé Divano – Premier’s People’s Choice, Best Community Impact, and Best Company
• Engineered Bodies Strength and Conditioning – Premier’s People’s Choice and Best Community Impact
• Gabi & Jules – Best Community Impact
• Rocky Point Ice Cream Inc. – Best Company
• The Newport Group Chartered Professional Accountants – Premier’s People’s Choice

Nominations are still open! Nominations and voting close November 30, 2016. If you would like to nominate your favourite small business (or your own small business), go to www.sbbcawards.ca to learn more.

Nominated business owners are tasked with gaining as many votes as possible through social media, word of mouth, email, or any other means to make it to the Top 10 in each category. The Top 10 will be announced as finalists on December 12, 2016.

The winners in each category (there are 10 in total) will be announced at the Small Business BC Awards Ceremony on February 23, 2017 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver.
