Don’t miss your chance to help shape the future of your community by voting in the 2018 Port Moody General Local and School Board Election. Qualified electors have three ways to vote: cast your ballot by mail, at one of the advance polls (Wednesday, October 10 and Saturday, October 13), or on General Voting Day (Saturday, October 20).

Qualified voters will elect one mayor, six councillors, and two school trustees for a four-year term. Municipal councils and school boards make decisions on issues that directly affect you and your family, like utilities and roadwork, parks and recreation, community development, and the policies and budget for the local school district.

As part of the 2018 General Local and School Board Election, Port Moody voters will be asked to mark a ballot with “yes” or “no” in response to a community opinion question about the sale, partial sale, or lease of the former Fire Hall and existing Works Yard sites on Murray Street.
