Play in our parks

The City of Port Moody invites you and your family to play in our parks this summer. Join staff from our Recreation Division for sports, crafts, games, face painting, and more in five Port Moody parks between July 4 and August 25, 2023.

“Play in our Parks programming is a new offering this summer to enhance community well-being and enliven some of our beautiful public green spaces,” said Mayor Meghan Lahti. “Everyone is welcome to join in and participate. I encourage residents of all ages to come together and enjoy some time outdoors with our amazing City staff. Our Council and our staff are passionate about providing opportunities for people to engage in physical activity and build social connections.”

Staff will rotate through five neighbourhood and community parks and be onsite from 10am to 3pm on weekdays, rain or shine, according to the following Play in our Parks schedule:

Easthill Park (1385 Union Street)

North Shore Community Park (1400 David Avenue)

Westhill Park (203 Westhill Place)

Kyle Park

(2501 St. George Street)

Heritage Mountain Park (20 Parkglen Place)

Recreation staff will lead activities such as basketball, bocce, badminton, and arts and crafts. There will also be bubbles and face painting. All Play in our Parks activities are free, and children and adults of all ages are welcome. Staff will invite participants to share feedback and offer suggestions for activities and/or adaptations.
